Setting the Scene

You are setting up a children's reading group in a library and you would like the children to discover new and unexpected reading ideas.

What would you do in the first session?

Option Description
A Choose a book you enjoyed as a child, order multiple copies and give one to each child, telling them to read it by the next session.
B Prepare a themed fun reading activity to act as an ice-breaker and to tempt them to try new books.
C Plan to set the session off by going round the group asking the children to talk about a book they have read recently.
