• You are obviously concerned and are acting out of the best motives - but beware! This is a 'we know the best approach' and might just make Rajiv feel stupid... and he might not use the library again.
• Everybody has reading fads. Don't you remember just reading Science Fiction, or particular comics?
• It's important to allow people to develop their reading preferences on their own terms. Anyway, what's wrong with Goosebumps? Why not show Rajiv the wonderful new Goosebumps dumpbin and give him first choice?
