You tell the playgroup workers that while it is storytime, the library is too busy to accommodate them and ask them to come back another time.

You may be anxious that because of storytime you can't give them the attention they need right now but by saying this you've actually given them a message loud and clear... that you're not that bothered about the playgroup using your library.
It's unlikely they'll be back and worse, they will almost certainly share their bad experience with other groups and with parents and carers in the neighbourhood. Not an advocacy strategy to be recommended!
